The History of Velvet in Fashion

Velvet, a luxurious fabric known for its soft, plush texture and rich sheen, has a storied history that dates back over a thousand years. First produced in the Far East, particularly in China and India, velvet made its way to Europe via the Silk Road in the Middle Ages.
